GHANA: PUBLIC CONSULTATION WORK ON DRAFT QUALITY OF SERVICE REGULATIONS

National Communications Authority (NCA) held a meeting in KUMASI city, Ghana.

In an effort to offer quality regulatory services, the Ghanaian telecommunications regulator organized a working session with telecommunications stakeholders on April 25 about Draft Quality of Service Regulations 2019 .The workshop took place in Kumasi in the presence of telecommunications companies, institutions and the press. The purpose was to gather consumer opinions and comments on the project on the quality of regulation in Ghana. At the opening of the meeting, The Deputy Director –General, Technical Operations, Ing. Henry Kanor recalled that with regard to consumer complaints, this initiative will promote the provision of quality telecommunications services. He also pointed out that the session will establish key indicators for consumer satisfaction. Moreover, The Deputy Director, Regulatory Administration, Mr. Kwame Baah-Acheamfuor noted that implementation of such a project is necessary as it will take into account all activities related to regulation as mentioned in the Electronic Communications law of 2008..
