PURA and NCA are sharing their experiences in telecommunications
The Gambia s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) is conducting a 4-day working visit starting on March 11 to its Ghanaian NCA counterpart (National Communications Authority). The visit is part of the exchange of experiences between the two organizations in the fields of telecommunications, national and international broadband services and topics on ICT etc…..
The Gambian delegation was enthusiastically welcomed by the Deputy Director General for Technical Operations of NCA, Mr Henry Kanor. In addition, he pointed out that the telecommunications sector is developing, which requires adaptation for proper regulation of the sector. For Ebrima Jammeh, Director of Core Network at PURA, he was very pleased with the hospitality extended to his delegation before affirming that NCA is a model in the sub-region in terms of regulation and that it is essential to be replicated.
