No unapproved equipment shall be allowed in the country

ARPCE (Postal and Electronic Communications Regulation Agency) will punish importers and distributors of electronic telecommunications equipment who do not comply with the regulations. This action is part of the regulatory enforcement policy.
The regulator made an announcement since January 14 ,2019 inviting the above-mentioned parties to comply with the provisions in force within one week. Indeed, as part of its mission to monitor the telecommunications market, ARPCE confiscated several illegal equipment circulating on the market. The announcement made by the body aims at inviting all stakeholders to work in an environment with approved equipment.
Yves Castanou, managing Director of ARPCE, in the margins of the meeting held with the stakeholders of the approval market on December 17, at its headquarters, invited them to comply with the regulation by having their various equipment approved. In addition, severe punishments are provided against holders of counterfeit equipment. The approval of telecommunications equipment is prescribed in the country›s regulations and is mandatory.
