Egypt is hosting the World Radio-communication Conference soon

After the previous edition in Geneva from November 2-27 ,2015, the country of the Pharaohs will host the World Radio-communication Conference next October. Indeed, the Egyptian Minister of ICT Amr Talaat and the Secretary General of ITU (International Telecommunication Union), Houlin Zhao, recently signed the agreement for the upcoming edition, which will be held in Sharm El-Sheikh from October 21to 26 November of this year.
The conference is organized every three or four years, with the aim of discussing radio-communication issues, namely: reviewing the Radio-communications Regulations and the associated frequency assignment plans, examining any radio-communication issues of global interest etc……..
This year, more than 3,500 experts from 160 countries and more than 180 ICT companies and organizations from around the world will take part in the conference. This new edition will provide an opportunity to allocate spectrum to 5G mobile technology in order to support the distribution of 5G services worldwide, as well as the development of object technology («IOT») and several other technologies. In addition, Amr talaat, Egyptian Minister of ICT, expressed his satisfaction with the conference to be held in his country before emphasizing that it will also have a positive impact on the development of the telecommunications sector in Egypt and therefore have a positive impact on the sector if ICT worldwide.
