Nigerian Communications Commission has raised awareness among users on the protection of the infrastructures, e-waste and type approval.
As part of its commitment to having an adequate telecommunications sector, the regulator recently initiated a tour of discussions in the Kano region. The users of telecommunications equipment have been instructed to discuss environmental issues such as type approval in Nigeria, in particular Quality of service, Electromagnetic Field (EMF) etc.….
At the heart of the discussions, the NCC’s local controller in the Kano region Shuiabu Swade invited users of telecommunications equipment to dispose of electronic waste and certify telecommunications equipment before any use on the territory. In turn, Abubacar Kurfi, principal manager Kano zonal office recalled that electronic waste is taking on considerably scary proportions around the world. At the end of his speech, he invited the participants to always have approved equipment.
The interactions with consumers of telecommunications equipment is a programme set up by the NCC with the aim of creating a framework for productive discussions to improve the sector. For the approval of equipment, contact us at sales@consultit-now.com
