Burundi’s telecommunications regulator at the heart of the celebration

Every May 17 is celebrated as the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day. On the same day, the regulator, Agence de régulation et de contrôle des télécommunications (ARCT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth, Posts and Information Technologies, initiated a fair from May 14 to 17.

The meeting was held at the Palais des Arts et de la Culture in the presence of telecommunications companies, institutions and the press on the theme: “Reducing the Standardization Gap”. On the sidelines of the day, the government reiterated its commitment to position Burundi as a reference in ICT in the sub-region. It should be recalled that approval is mandatory in this country.
